Access Family Care

PLJBD has enjoyed a long and successful partnership with Access Family Care, designing numerous medical and dental facilities for them over the past decade. Access Family Care has been an exceptional client, consistently providing outstanding healthcare services to the communities they serve.

Bentlage Building

  • The Bentlage Building is a four story 36,000 SF medical office building for Freeman Hospital.
  • The open design allows maximum flexibility in office and clinic design.
  • An open glass atrium lobby welcomes patients to the facility.

Office for Dr. McGinty D.D.S.

  • This state-of-the-art dental office started as a garage in an eighty-year-old building.
  • Renovations included new windows, new raised floor to align with adjacent floors, and new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • New spaces include:
    • Separate lab and sterilization
    • Four Operatory Rooms
    • Shared Waiting Room

Menke & McAllister Dental Office

  • The May 2011 Joplin Tornado destroyed the offices (a former PLJBD project) of Dr. Menke and Dr. McAllister.  A design to relocate the practices was made and a new 7,165 SF dental office was designed to accommodate the way they practice dentistry.
  • A spacious waiting room incorporates a lot of natural light and highlights a large aquarium.  The open design still allows patients privacy. 
  • A large FEMA style safe room is included. 
  • The 2-story building is an ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) structure that provides outstanding wind resistance as well as extremely high energy efficiency.
