PATTERSON LATIMER JONES BRANNON DENHAM was founded in Joplin in 1972 as RICHARD PATTERSON AND ASSOCIATES. The firm continued to grow over the past 39 years, and now has a staff of eight. The two Principals are Vincent Brannon and Kyle Denham. Although combined the Principals are licensed to practice architecture in 12 states, the firm has concentrated in serving the four-state region by providing a very high standard of architectural and engineering services.
PLJBD has worked on hundreds of projects over the past four decades involving numerous building types, including governmental, educational, offices, health care, religious, recreational, industrial, and residential. The firm has successfully programmed, designed, and administrated construction on various projects ranging from modest construction budgets of less than $50,000.00 up to a $25 million corporate headquarters. The majority of the firm’s practice comes from repeat clients and it has enjoyed long-term relationships with many clients spanning decades. PLJBD has an excellent reputation in the community and its clients and contractors have come to expect innovative designs and highly detailed construction documents.
One of the Principals directly supervises nearly every one of PLJBD’s projects. It is the firm’s philosophy that such close involvement of the Principal’s time produces a higher level of quality control and a better ability to meet scheduling commitments. Along with the two Principals, the staff includes an Architect, an Intern-Architect, a Structural Engineer, two CAD Technicians, and a secretary. The firm’s management approach includes inner-office meetings that allow at least two licensed personnel to be involved in all projects. This sort of depth assures the client continuity in the event of the absence of the Project Manager. This depth is unmatched in this region.
